Steps to transfer the Giving program and data files from one computer to another computer.
Note:  Your steps may vary slightly depending on which version of Windows you have.  The source computer is the computer that has the real data files.  The destination computer is the computer that has empty data files or sample data files.  These steps will not merge data together.  By following these steps the destination computer will loose any data and will receive a copy of the data that the source computer has.  Also before following these steps, make sure you have installed the Giving program on the destination computer.

Old or Source Computer Steps:
1) Open "or double click on" My Computer "or computer"
2) Open "or double click on" Drive C
3) Scroll down and locate the "Maples" folder and open it by double
clicking on it
4) Then single click on the "giving" folder - don't double click on
it, just do a single click to select it.
5) Do a right mouse click on the giving folder and choose "copy"
6) Close everything
7) Insert your thumbdrive or flashdrive
8) Open My Computer
9) Double click on your thumbdrive to open it
10) Do a right mouse click and choose "paste" - you should see the
files copy over.
Note: When you insert the flash drive - windows may open it for you.

New or destination Computer Steps:
1) Insert your thumbdrive or flashdrive
2) Open My Computer
3) Double click on your thumbdrive to open it
4) Do a right mouse click on the "giving" folder and choose "copy"
5) Close everything
6) Open My Computer
7) Double click on Drive C to open it
8) Scroll down and locate the "maples" folder and double click on it
to open it - you should see the giving folder on drive c
9) Do a right mouse click and choose "paste"
Note you should be asked to "overwrite" the giving folder - you want
to answer "yes" or "ok" for all files. This will wipe out the churches data and
replace it with the program and data files from the old computer. The
data files on the new computer should be empty before doing this, so
it should be ok to paste the files from the old computer. Make sure
all program are closed before doing this.
Note: When you insert the flash drive - windows may open it for you.
