Installation does not finish? On some computers the Database engine
installation screen may be behind the primary "program" installation screen
waiting for you to click "next", but you don't see it. Solution:
Press "ALT + TAB" on the keyboard to bring the database engine installation
screen to the foreground so that you can click "Next". See these 2 screen
shots.
You were able to install the program but it won't start or open.
Follow these steps:
Windows 10
Step 1: Right-click on This PC, choose Properties and then click on the Advanced
system settings link.
Note: For other versions of Windows also click on the "Settings" button
under performance. Then continue to step 2.
Step 2: Now click on the Data Execution Prevention tab and you’ll see two radio
buttons:
Step 3: Select the first radio button "Turn on DEP for essential Windows program
and services only", restart your computer and see if that fixes the issue.
If this still does not fix the issue, then check to see if your antivirus or
firewall is stopping the program from loading. Away to test this is to
temporarily turn off the antivirus and/or firewall for 10 minutes to see if the
program will start. If it does start then you'll need to add an exception
to the antivirus or firewall to allow the program to run. The application
name to allow is c:\maples\giving\giving32.exe or c:\maples\daycare\daycare.exe
